La Dolce Vita on a Plate: chef Niko Romito has reimagined the eatery
Bulgari Resort Dubai has transformed its Yacht Club Restaurant into a luxury Italian dining experience. Led by renowned Chef Niko Romito, the restaurant takes diners on a culinary voyage to the sun-drenched shores of the Adriatic Coast.
As part of the relaunch, the eatery now has a seafood menu that is routed in Italian tradition. Chef Romito, the mastermind behind the resort's two Michelin-starred Il Ristorante-Niko Romito, has put his stamp on the dishes. His philosophy was to elevate the finest catches into creations bursting with the essence of the Mediterranean.
The menu kicks off with a wide selection of fresh, raw seafood - crustaceans, fish, and mollusks - including the grande antipasto di pesce (large seafood appetiser). Following this are Italian classics like linguine alle vongole veraci (pasta with clams) and risotto alla marinara, each dish meticulously prepared. An innovative open grill fueled by wood and charcoal infuses dishes with a smokey flavour.
Finishing on a sweet note, Chef Romito reimagines traditional Italian desserts, including tiramisu or the and vanilla panna cotta which is served with seasonal fruit.
Joining the team, chef Filippo Ristori, is the newly appointed chef de cuisine. Ristori, is a seasoned culinary explorer who previously worked at the Four Seasons and Lungarno Hotel in Florence. He will work alongside chef Romito as the resort takes steps to redefine luxury dining in Dubai.
