From the ambience and the attentive service to the extensive menu, this restaurant knows how to create a memorable meal
Nestled within the architectural marvel that is Atlantis The Royal Dubai, Ling Ling lives up to the promise a restaurant in such a luxury location engenders. Perfectly perched on the 22nd and 23rd floors, with breathtaking views of the twinkling lights of the city skyline, this contemporary Asian gem offers a dining experience that surpasses expectations. It seamlessly weaves together impeccable cuisine, striking vistas, and a moody after-hours atmosphere that exudes opulence at every turn.
Stepping off the private elevator into Ling Ling’s inner sanctum, guests are instantly transported to a place that telegraphs a chic yet cool attitude. The space, meticulously crafted by the acclaimed Parisian studio Gilles & Boissier, boasts a seamless fusion of minimalist luxury and a subtle dark colour palette accented by animated pink lighting, numerous vertical panels of lush green verdure and even a large leafy tree sprouting out of one of the central dining areas. All of it harmoniously works together to add energy and life to the venue in a concerted effort to balance the effect of the striking views out of the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Those panoramic vistas of the resort’s 90-metre sky pool, Palm Jumeirah, and the glittering Dubai skyline serve as a mesmerising backdrop to the gastronomic journey guests get to enjoy. No visit to the restaurant would be complete without a trip out onto the wide terrace to breathe in the night air while soaking up the exquisite surroundings.
The menu at Ling Ling pays homage to Japanese izakayas while offering a contemporary twist on Cantonese cuisine. Signature dishes such as the Ling Ling dim sum platters, featuring tantalising flavours like langoustine shrimp with caviar and crab, showcase the culinary prowess of the chefs. Highlights on the menu also include the 24k Gold A5 Wagyu, prawn satay, lobster maki sushi rolls and a classic kung pao chicken is a sure recipe for a successful dining experience. Also, a must is the hazelnut moelleux dessert crafted from rich chocolate, praline and Tahitian vanilla ice cream. Each bite is a delightful and captivating mélange of flavours that elegantly blend tradition and innovation.
But Ling Ling is more than just a restaurant; it is a destination lounge that beckons visitors to indulge in after-dark reverie. As the evening unfolds, guests are transported from dining to dancing seamlessly, guided by an eclectic soundtrack that sets the tone for the night. Because once dinner is over the Ling Ling Ultra Lounge awaits. Tucked away discreetly on the 23rd floor, this haute hideaway beckons glamorous party-goers with its sultry ambience and exclusive vibe. LED strip lighting illuminates the space, casting a seductive glow over the rich marble bar and VIP tables.
Everything about Ling Ling is sleek, sophisticated and studied. And those good intentions come across in every bite, each song that is played and the captivating views – no matter where the eye wanders. Nothing is left to chance when it comes to making sure dinners are treated to a night to remember.
