    A. Lange & Söhne Reimagines the CABARET TOURBILLON in HONEYGOLD®

    A. Lange & Söhne unveils a new edition of one of its most recognisable creations with the CABARET TOURBILLON HONEYGOLD®, a limited release of 50 timepieces that brings together horological innovation and exceptional artisanal craftsmanship.

Presented in 750 HONEYGOLD®, the rectangular case and matching dial define the character of this latest interpretation. The warm glow of Lange’s proprietary alloy is set against a black-rhodiumed backdrop, creating a striking visual contrast enhanced by sculpted relief details across the dial. At 6 o’clock, an opening reveals the tourbillon, one of the watch’s most celebrated technical signatures.

Produced entirely in-house, the dial is constructed from three individual elements including the main dial and two auxiliary displays for the subsidiary seconds and UP/DOWN power reserve indicator. The scales, frames and the A. Lange & Söhne signature are meticulously sculpted directly into the dial material to create elevated relief details before undergoing black rhodium treatment. Each raised element is then polished by hand, allowing the honey gold to re-emerge against the darker surface. The complete process takes several weeks to achieve.

Through the dial aperture, the upper tourbillon bridge and cage reveal one of watchmaking’s most demanding decorative techniques: black polish. Executed entirely by hand, the finish transforms depending on the angle of light — appearing reflective from one perspective and deep black from another, showcasing extraordinary precision and finishing expertise.

The CABARET TOURBILLON also remains an important milestone in horological history. First introduced in 2008, it became the world’s first tourbillon wristwatch equipped with a stop-seconds mechanism, allowing precise adjustment to the exact second, an innovation that marked a significant advancement in precision watchmaking.

Viewed through the sapphire-crystal caseback, the manually wound calibre L042.1 reveals the technical depth of the timepiece. The movement comprises 370 components, including 84 dedicated to the delicate tourbillon assembly, and delivers a power reserve of 120 hours through its twin mainspring barrel. The movement is designed specifically for the rectangular case and features hallmark Lange finishes including untreated German silver, Glashütte ribbing, engraved cocks, blued screws, gold chatons, and a solarised ratchet wheel.

The timepiece is completed with a dark brown alligator leather strap and a honey-gold prong buckle, complementing the warmth of the case. The CABARET TOURBILLON HONEYGOLD® becomes the 18th Lange watch crafted in honey gold and will be presented in mid-May 2026 during the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on the shores of Lake Como.
