Buccellati Returns to Downtown Design Dubai with Aquae Mirabiles

Italian high-jewellery and silverware Maison Buccellati is set to return to Downtown Design Dubai this November, presenting Aquae Mirabiles, an immersive installation celebrating the artistry of Italian silversmithing and the enduring beauty of the table.

Taking place from 4 to 8 November 2026, the presentation marks Buccellati’s second appearance at the region’s leading design fair. This year, the Maison turns its attention to its iconic Caviar silverware collection, recognised for its distinctive microsphere motif, transforming its craftsmanship into an experience shaped by water, mythology and Italian history.

Conceived as a contemporary nymphaeum — inspired by the elaborate sanctuaries traditionally dedicated to water and nymphs — Aquae Mirabiles invites visitors into an evocative world that moves from the depths of the sea towards a sumptuous submerged banquet. Here, Buccellati’s celebrated silverware takes centre stage, connecting the Maison’s meticulous craftsmanship with centuries of Italian artistry and imagination.

Adding another artistic dimension to the installation are original watercolour drawings by British artist and designer Luke Edward Hall. His illustrations accompany the presentation’s exploration of legend, history and the natural world, creating a richly layered setting in which traditional silverware becomes part of a larger visual narrative.

The presentation also reflects Buccellati’s longstanding dedication to artisanal techniques. From its renowned hand engraving to designs informed by the Maison’s historic archives, craftsmanship remains central to a creative identity rooted in the traditions of the Italian Renaissance bottega

With Aquae Mirabiles, Buccellati brings more than its celebrated silverware to Dubai. By placing the art of the table within a world of mythology, nature and imagination, the Maison offers a reminder that the objects surrounding a table can be as much about artistry and storytelling as they are about function.

Downtown Design Dubai takes place from 4 to 8 November 2026, with further details of Buccellati’s presentation set to be revealed in due course.
