Founded by Nama Alshamsi, ORCH Jewellery, an Emirati fine jewellery house handcrafted entirely in the UAE, has launched a new collection built on the idea of permanence. 

The house was built on a question its founder has carried since childhood: what if a flower’s beauty didn’t have to end. Alshamsi grew up captivated by the orchid, prized for its strength as much as its grace. It bends without breaking. It blooms slowly and holds its form under conditions that would wilt almost anything else. That contradiction, delicate on the surface and resilient underneath, became the founding idea behind ORCH.

“I didn’t set out to design jewellery inspired by a flower I liked,” says Alshamsi. “I set out to solve something. The orchid says everything I believe about strength: that it doesn’t announce itself; it just endures. I wanted to hold onto that permanently, not just admire it in passing.”

Each ORCH piece translates the orchid’s architecture, its petals, its curve, and its structure into 18-karat gold and natural VVS diamonds, handcrafted entirely in the UAE. Nothing about the process is outsourced or abstracted. The result is a collection built for longevity rather than trend cycles: pieces meant to be worn for decades, not seasons.

“I built ORCH to outlast me,” Alshamsi adds. “A trend has a shelf life. A symbol doesn’t. I wanted to make something a woman could hand to her daughter and have it still mean exactly what it meant the day she first wore it.”

That intent shapes the collection’s purpose. ORCH pieces are designed to mark real inflection points, milestones, transitions, and decisions, rather than function as seasonal accessories. “Femininity, to me, has never been the opposite of strength,” says Alshamsi. “The orchid proves that. I wanted a piece of jewellery that made that argument without needing to say it out loud.”
