For Dior’s Summer 2027 Women’s Collection, Jonathan Anderson explores lightness, expressed through technical craftsmanship. At its centre is a transformation of tailleur, where traditionally structured tailoring becomes soft, fluid and almost weightless. 

The collection develops ideas first seen in Dior’s Autumn-Winter 2026–2027 designs. Flower-like shapes, rounded volumes, iridescent surfaces, and cropped silhouettes return in lighter, more summery forms. Lace, silk mousseline, and organza move between transparency and opacity, creating clothes that appear to shift as they move. 

Asymmetry is one of the collection’s defining ideas. Long scarves fall over one shoulder, while cascading earrings weighted with gemstones create an uneven yet graceful line. Sheer suiting, metallic five-pocket trousers and an embroidered black trompe l’oeil scarf motif bring a sharper, more graphic edge to the otherwise airy wardrobe. 

Familiar Dior silhouettes act as the foundation, but they are pushed in new directions. Volumes become more fluid, while cropped proportions and transparent layers make the house’s historic femininity feel contemporary. Jewellery remains delicate, light and adjustable, allowing each piece to be worn in different ways.

Shoes add a playful finish. Photographs of flowers are printed onto square-toe block heels, while a new version of the Dior Bow Sandal introduces a softer, more sculptural shape. The Dior Cigale shoe returns with a petal-shaped sole, turning a botanical reference into a graphic design element. New versions of the Dior Double and Dior Initial Hobo are joined by compact supple-leather styles. 

Throughout the show, transparent tailoring, petal-shaped shoes and sculptural bags make lightness feel both effortless and highly engineered.
