Runway Highlights from Paris Fashion Week Day 3
On day 3, the Paris runways witness a mix of nostalgia, experimentation, and modern glamour. While some designers looked to nature for inspiration, others looked to the past. Across reworked fashion codes, unexpected textures, and the return of house signatures, the day offered a varied vision for Spring/Summer 2027.
Here are our favourite shows from the day.
Tom Ford

Haider Ackermann’s SS27 collection for Tom Ford titled Defile returned to sharp tailoring with a darker, more architectural edge. Embracing the house’s seductive aesthetic, razor-cut blazers were worn over bare skin or bra tops, paired with low-slung trousers that traced the hips with precision.

Evening wear featured bias-cut gowns and slip dresses in deep lipstick red, with cut-outs and off-shoulder details that revealed skin in a restrained way. Leather made a strong statement through elegant pencil skirts, co-ords, and tops. Sheer pencil skirts and bodysuits and swimwear also appeared as the collection progressed.
Courrèges

Marking his debut collection, Drew Henry’s SS27 for Courrèges traces a new direction for the house. Presented at the Palais de Tokyo, the show embraced a softer, more playful interpretation of the house's Space Age heritage. The colour palette spanned a vibrant spectrum of apricot orange, canary yellow, grass green, baby blue, and navy.

Across the collection, undone belts, sleeveless jackets, and relaxed necklines brought a laid-back feel, while eccentric hats and 3D floral garlands brought whimsy to the collection. The house’s iconic Moon Girl Boots also made a comeback.
Dries Van Noten

Julian Klauser’s SS27 collection for Dries Van Noten drew inspiration from 1950s Hollywood glamour. The silhouettes were relaxed and layered, featuring breezy viscose trenches and unstructured slip dresses with vintage movie-poster prints. Printed slip dresses were worn over vintage-style tees and under cropped jackets.

Ornate brooches took centre stage, holding together the neat layers and accenting dresses and skirts. Twin-sets, pussy bows, and animal prints were mixed with polos and casual knits, combining glamour with everyday style . Spray-painted flamingos, martini glasses, and star motifs appeared throughout, finished with belts that gently cinched the waist.
Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection explored proportions and shapes with a relaxed approach. While the silhouettes stayed restrained, every piece offered ease of movement and a laid-back fit. Oversized shirts featured drawstring waists inspired by raincoats, and peplums returned in soft, rounded forms that flared gently at the hip.

Inspired by the underwater ecosystem, marine life graphics, including dolphins and whales adorned sweaters and t-shirts. Wave-like motifs ran across blazers, dresses, tops, and trousers alike. The colour palette echoed the sea theme with blues, corals, and sage, complemented by chocolate brown and blush tones.
Balmain

Presenting his second collection for Balmain, Antonin Tron reimagined the house’s glamour with a sense of ease. Animal prints, body-conscious silhouettes, and sharp tailoring were given a more relaxed feel. Trenches were cut close to the body, while pencil skirts sat low on the hips.

Long silver necklaces adorned deep V-necklines, while statement chokers and cuffs appeared across looks. The soft colour palette was accented by flashes of purple, orange, and green, bringing together a collection that is sophisticated yet fun.
Acne Studios

Titled “Denim Historia”, Acne Studio’s SS27 collection places historical attire against everyday garments. Traditional tailoring was reworked into structured jackets, fitted coats, and sharp-shouldered pieces, while denim appeared in relaxed jeans, sculpted skirts, corseted shapes, and layered separates.

Some looks followed the body closely, while others created volume through exaggerated proportions, uneven hems, and draped layers. Carpet-inspired textures and distressed finishes gave the garments a worn-in quality, as though the clothes had been taken from another era and reshaped for the present.
