Azza Fahmy’s Tales of the Nile Continues with a New High Jewellery Reveal
Azza Fahmy Jewellery has unveiled the second part of Tales of the Nile, the second chapter of its ongoing story, introducing a new series of High Jewellery pieces rooted in heritage, symbolism and exceptional craftsmanship. At the centre of the reveal are distinctive necklaces that bring together poetry, ancient Egyptian iconography and the house’s signature artistry.

The Hand of Fatima necklace revisits one of Azza Fahmy’s most recognisable symbols. Crafted in 18 kt gold, it features intricate filigree, three-dimensional floral elements and delicate ajour twisted wirework. A 4.60ct cushion-cut Emerald, handpicked by Head Designer Amina Ghali for its depth of colour and brilliance, sits at its centre, while the phrase “Oh Protector” is rendered in lace-like Arabic calligraphy.

The Tales of Love necklace is a multi-way design that bridges generations. It incorporates one of the house’s iconic chains, first introduced by Azza Fahmy more than fifty years ago. A 7.21 ct octagon-cut emerald framed by diamonds forms the focal point, with a pendant beneath carrying the poetic line “In my heart I see you every day and every night." Twisted wirework and handmade Arabic chain tassels lend a subtle Art Deco feel to the piece.

The Emerald Lotus choker draws on the visual language of Tutankhamun. Its pear-shaped emerald is framed by diamonds, with a detachable tassel unfolding beneath. Gold chains set with diamonds lead to dangling lotus motifs, inspired by Tutankhamun’s mask and the patterns of Luxor’s Theban monuments. Alternating lotus bouquets, daisy rosettes and the house’s signature Roman chain complete the design.

The Joy necklace celebrates rubellite, a stone Amina Ghali has recently been drawn to. A pendant engraved with “Happiness & Joy” is surrounded by 28.35 ct of oval-cut rubellites, each diamond-framed and hand-set using the Ottoman technique. Strands of pearls and filigree crescents bring softness to the composition, while the matching Joy earrings feature 8.13 ct oval-cut rubellites.

The Rubellite Tutankhamun necklace continues the dialogue with ancient Egypt. A handpicked rubellite is encircled by diamonds and suspended from a Roman double chain and Djed Pillar. At its heart, a carved scarab is framed by the feathered wings of Horus, symbols of strength, endurance and eternal blessing.

The Joy bangle centres on a one-of-a-kind 6.57ct cushion-cut Rubellite within a diamond frame. Lace-like calligraphy reading “Joy – Happiness” encircles the stone, alongside the house’s signature twisted wirework. A striking Aquamarine ring completes the collection, with a 2.10ct princess-cut stone set in an Art Deco-inspired diamond setting and engraved with “Compassion & Mercy”.

For every High Jewellery piece, Amina Ghali personally selects the gemstones, many sourced during her travels to India. Through Arabic calligraphy, filigree and time-honoured metalwork, Tales of the Nile continues Azza Fahmy’s belief that jewellery carries stories shaped by heritage, artistry and time. The collection will be previewed at the Doha fair.
