Weekend Highlights From Dubai Fashion Week

The weekend runway shows at Dubai Fashion Week gave us plenty to remember. The SS27 collection presented at Dubai Design District celebrated Emirati craftsmanship, international designers, and emerging young talent.

Here are our favourite shows from the weekend.

    Onori

For SS27, Onori founder and creative director Sharifa Alhashemi drew inspiration from her travels and hotel interiors. The result was a feminine collection defined by volume, movement and delicate floral touches, from feather-trimmed hems and 3D flowers to fringes, coming together as a quiet celebration of womanhood.

    Nafsika Skourti

Nafsika Skourti brought its Resort 2027 collection to Dubai Fashion Week, pairing vivid colours with unexpected textures, floral-inspired forms and metallic detailing. Designed by sisters Nafsika and Stephanie Skourti, the collection balanced softness and structure while celebrating individuality, sisterhood and a modern, joyful sense of elegance.

    FAD Talents

Marking a decade of FAD Institute, the FAD Talents’ runway show at Dubai Fashion Week was a showcase devoted to its next generation of designers. Twenty emerging designers presented capsule collections shaped by unconventional materials, innovative construction and bold, sculptural forms, offering a forward-looking glimpse of fashion’s future while celebrating the institute’s role in developing new talent.

    Lili Blanc

Lili Blanc returned to Dubai Fashion Week for SS27, showcasing a collection built around sculptural tailoring, clean lines and understated femininity. Rendered in an understated palette of lavender, blue, and cream alongside black and white, the collection draws on shared experiences of women and the strength they wield from within.

    Laura Aparicio

Laura Aparicio brought a burst of Colombian spirit to the runway with NANDA, her SS27 collection centred on confidence and unapologetic self-expression. Vivid shades of yellow, red and blue brought a playful energy to the runway while fluid fabrics and exaggerated, sculptural shapes added to the bold design language.
