Inside NOMAD Abu Dhabi’s Expanded Second Edition

NOMAD Abu Dhabi returns for its second edition from November 18 to 22, 2026, in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).

The fair expands further into Terminal 1 of the Old Abu Dhabi Airport, reactivating additional spaces inside this landmark of Arabian modernism. Co-founded by Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte, the event gathers over 50 exhibitors spanning collectible design, contemporary art, jewellery, and craft.

Rather than following a familiar layout, the fair adapts to the airport's architecture, placing galleries inside private gates, departure halls, and corridors. International exhibitors A2Z, Nilufar, Gallery FUMI, and Galerie Gastou are creating gate takeovers, while the Departure Hall hosts a project by YANGWANG with artist Ibrahim Zaki.

Regional participants include The AP Room, SUPER LOOP, Gem Alf, Le Lab, Leila Heller Gallery, and Iwan Maktabi with Don Tanani. An expanded institutional programme showcases the House of Artisans, Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council, Design Commission Abu Dhabi, and the Institut du Monde Arabe.

The 2026 programme also emphasises interdisciplinary collaborations. BGRE presents an expanded series of talks and workshops focused on placemaking and regional craftsmanship. Chalhoub Group presents "The Art of Living", while ERTH Abu Dhabi hosts the official pop-up restaurant and fair hub. Public art projects also unfold in partnership with Public Art Abu Dhabi.

By pairing global talent with regional heritage, NOMAD Abu Dhabi offers an immersive platform for cultural dialogue. VIP previews take place on November 18, with general admission open from November 19 to 22, 2026.
