The Princess of Wales steps out in Dior for the first time

The Princess of Wales is renowned for her diplomatic approach to fashion, and this occasion was no exception. In a timeless Dior ensemble, she paid a thoughtful tribute to French design as she welcomed the French President and his wife at the start of their three-day State Visit.

Kate made a striking fashion statement in pale pink Christian Dior, wearing the 30 Montaigne Rose des Vents Bar Jacket from the 2024 collection.

The Christian Dior jacket, known as the 30 Montaigne Rose des Vents Bar Jacket, is a creation from the house’s 2024 collection. It was reimagined by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior’s first female creative director, who took inspiration from the original silhouette first crafted by Christian Dior himself in 1947.

Kate accessorised with a matching hat by Jess Collett, a pair of earrings that once belonged to Princess Diana, and a pearl necklace from Queen Elizabeth’s collection.

Later today, His Majesty The King will host a banquet in honour of their distinguished guests. It remains unconfirmed whether the Princess of Wales will be in attendance, as she previously chose to sit out of the State Banquet held in honour of the Emir of Qatar last December.
