    Fashion Trust Arabia Celebrates Regional Talent at a Star-Studded Ceremony in Doha

    Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) marked its seventh annual FTA Prize on November 22, with a spectacular evening at the National Museum of Qatar, where the region’s most promising designers were honoured alongside global fashion icons. Held in the presence of FTA Honorary Chair Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, the ceremony gathered an impressive lineup of international celebrities, industry leaders, and cultural figures.

    Welcomed by FTA Co-Chairs Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Tania Fares, the awards celebrated seven rising designers selected from 21 finalists across categories, including Ready-to-Wear, Eveningwear, Accessories, Jewellery, Fashion Tech, the Franca Sozzani Debut Talent Award, and the Guest Country Award: India.

    Hosted by actress Queen Latifah and Egyptian actor Aiman Kaissouni, the night drew a high-profile guest list including celebrities Emma Roberts, Lindsay Lohan, Isabelle Adjani, Juliette Binoche, Regina King, Adrien Brody, Farida Khelfa, Balqees Fathi, Georgina Rodríguez, and many more.

    Musical performances by Palestinian-Algerian singer Saint Levant and music icon Chaka Khan added standout moments to the gala, while QC+, Qatar’s most Michelin-celebrated hospitality group, served an exquisite dinner.

    This year’s winners reflect the FTA’s mission to spotlight innovation, craftsmanship, and the cultural richness of the MENA region. They were selected by a panel of expert judges, who assessed their collections and brand vision. The full list of winners is below: 

    • Ready-to-Wear: Youssef Drissi – Late for Work
    • Eveningwear: Ziyad AlBuainain – Ziyad Buainain
    • Accessories: Leila Roukni – Talel
    • Jewellery: Farah Radwan – FYR Jewelry
    • Franca Sozzani Debut Talent Award: Alaa Alaradi
    • Fashion Tech Award: Fatema & Dalal Alkhaja – Touchless
    • Guest Country Award – India: Kartik Kumra – Kartik Research

    This edition also marked a major milestone: the first year of FTA’s partnership with Kering, which will provide the Franca Sozzani Debut Talent Award winner with a tailored mentorship programme to support their artistic and business development.

    Honorary Awards

    In addition to the emerging talent awards, two global fashion leaders were also honoured during the ceremony, each representing a different kind of creative legacy.

    Lifetime Achievement Award: Miuccia Prada

    Miuccia Prada

    A visionary whose intellectual, often provocative approach has shaped the direction of modern fashion for more than four decades. Miuccia Prada was recognised for redefining luxury through innovation, subversion, and an unwavering commitment to originality. Her work continues to influence designers, cultural discourse, and the evolution of style worldwide.

    Trailblazer Award: Zuhair Murad

    Celebrated for bringing the splendour of Arab couture to international prominence, Zuhair Murad was acknowledged for his artistry, resilience, and global impact. From red-carpet masterpieces to runway statements, his creations have become synonymous with glamour and craftsmanship, setting new standards for regional designers and inspiring emerging talent across the Middle East and beyond.
