Arab Voices and Heritage Take Center Stage at Golden Globe Awards 2026
At the 83rd Golden Globe Awards in 2026, the global spotlight didn’t just fall on cinema’s biggest moments; it also shone a light on the power of cultural heritage and Arab storytelling.
Among the evening’s most resonant red-carpet appearances was actress Saja Kilani. A rising talent best known for her role in the docudrama, The Voice of Hind Rajab, Kilani arrived at the awards in a striking custom black gown. The ensemble was a collaboration with acclaimed Jordanian fashion designer Reema Dahbour, who drew inspiration from the traditional thobe and its centuries-old embroidery techniques, particularly tatreez: the cross-stitched motifs historically sewn by women.
Designer Reema Dahbour, whose work often celebrates clean lines and cultural resonance, has dressed prominent international figures; her collaboration with Kilani felt both elegant and purposeful.

The host of the Golden Globe Awards 2026, Nikki Glaser, wore a blush-pink gown by acclaimed Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad from his Resort 2026 collection. This marks another joyful milestone for the designer, who has had a long-standing relationship with Hollywood’s fashion forefront. The dress featured a soft corset bodice and a full skirt, highlighting Murad’s signature craftsmanship and understated sparkle, in a nod to old-world cinematic romance.
