FOULARD DRESSING
The classic silk foulard is transformed into an airy two-piece made of soft nappa leather. Ensemble (and flip-flops) by Tod’s, price upon request.

BOLD & BEAUTIFUL
These new collections spark excitement for a colourful summer.

FROM APPLE TO PISTACHIO GREEN
In winter, everyone was crazy about butter yellow, but this spring, we’re wearing soft sorbet shades.

PUMP UP THE VOLUME!
The exhibition on Paul Poiret – the selfstyled “King of Fashion” at the beginning of the last century – in Paris, has brought the jupe culotte back into focus. Inspired by the Ballets Russes, Poiret repeatedly drew
on opulent folk costumes and turned them into the dernier cri. Modern interpretations were plentiful on the runway, such as Etro’s silk paisley-print jumpsuit (including the hat and shoes), infused with Studio 54 vibes, Dhs16,730. Complemented by a selection of Tubogas jewellery, by Bvlgari.

NINE TO FIVE
Current world events call for a certain seriousness, not only in the workplace. A grey suit paired with a
same-tone shirt and tie, a true styling coup, has you perfectly prepared. Outfit by Brioni, price upon request.

STYLE CHAMPIONS
The sports fever surrounding the Olympic Winter Games also swept through much of the Milan collections. Activewear details rejuvenate the elegant Milanese style. Nylon jacket, A-line skirt, and cashmere sweater (also the boots), all by Prada, price upon request.

PYJAMA PARTY
A retreat into the private sphere is also reflected in fashion – fluid two-piece sets, like this one with a modern art print, turn springtime dinner parties into a stylish occasion. Trousers and blouse in silk crêpe,
by Akris, each Dhs5,965. Ballerinas: Sportmax. Earrings: COS.

COQUETTISH
The two-tone dress made of pleated silk crêpe with a side bow embodies the new, ladylike allure
in fashion. By Christian Dior, Dhs45,300.

KHAKI CLUB
Safari tones form the basis of the new easy-to-wear spring look, such as the alpaca wool coat with
matching cloche hat and hooded scarf, all by Loro Piana, price upon request.

MID-CENTURY MODERN
White leather trench coat with black trim in an artful Sixties style. By Chanel (also the Mary Janes
and earrings),Dhs78,078.

Vuitton, Dhs15,444, and Dhs7,50
COMFORT GLAMOUR
No corset (or Spanx), please! Lavishly embroidered, multi layered strappy dress in mysterious midnight blue, Mr. Armani’s favourite colour. By Giorgio Armani (also the chiffon ankle boots), price upon request.

HERO PIECE: TRENCH COAT
The classic gets a fashion update and becomes the key outerwear piece for the spring. Shown here, an elegant coat dress by Michael Rider, the new creative director of Celine, paired with wide pleated trousers and a high-collared shirt blouse – everything (including shoes and belt), price upon request. Jewellery: Marjana von Berlepsch.
