Cannes in Diamonds: The Red Carpet’s Finest Jewellery Moments
At the heart of this year’s Cannes Film Festival, high jewellery took on a distinctly editorial presence, with some of the world’s most recognisable maisons defining the red-carpet narrative through precision, craftsmanship, and restrained opulence.
Across premieres and appearances, high jewellery maisons shaped the narrative through precise, house-led statements where craftsmanship and stone selection carried as much weight as couture. Diamonds dominated in their purest form: elongated silhouettes, sculptural settings, and clean, light-driven designs that translated into a more refined, controlled sense of glamour rather than overt excess.

Sümeyye Aydoğan wore high jewellery by Messika, presenting a modern, sculptural interpretation of diamond dressing that aligned with the maison’s signature contemporary aesthetic.

Gong Li also chose creations by Messika, reinforcing the brand’s red-carpet language of bold brilliance and fluid diamond design.

In a contrasting expression of classic glamour, Yasmine Sabri appeared in high jewellery by Chopard, a house long synonymous with Cannes elegance and heritage craftsmanship.

Yasmina El Abd opted for high jewellery from Dior, where refined design codes and architectural sensitivity framed a more understated, couture-led statement.

Meanwhile, Hande Erçel wore high jewellery by Pomellato, bringing a softer, coloured-gemstone-driven aesthetic to the red-carpet narrative.

Closing the lineup, Riley Keough chose high jewellery from Chanel, echoing the maison’s refined codes of elegance with a modern, cinematic restraint.
Together, the looks underscored a clear editorial direction at Cannes this year: a dialogue between heritage jewellery houses and contemporary red carpet expression, where each maison’s identity was not just worn, but distinctly defined.
