Abadia is continuing to make global waves. From being the first Saudi label to launch on Net-a-Porter last year, to now being stocked in eight cities around the world.

The luxury brand is available to shop in Riyadh, Dubai, New York, San Francisco, Kuwait City, Florence, New Orleans, and Austin, Texas with more global locations opening soon.

The conscious Saudi fashion brand was co-founded by former NGO worker Shahd AlShehail in 2013. Encouraged to do something after the fast-fashion factory disaster at Bangledesh's Raza Plaza, thus Abadia was born. Named after two Arabic words combined, timelessness (abadi) and desert (badiah), the family-run business is owned by AlShehail and her aunt.

Known for its commitment to preserving the heritage of the Arabian Peninsula through using local craftsmen and practices, the local brand has always wanted to put the region on the world's sartorial map.

“From the beginning, our vision has been global,” explains Shahd AlShehail, CEO and Creative Director of Abadia. “Launching in eight global cities is more than an achievement for Abadia; it’s a love letter from Saudi Arabia to the world. This milestone reflects our commitment to showcasing the Kingdom’s rich heritage and transformative spirit on an international stage.”

With the preservation of the environment at the heart of the brand, Abadia utilises luxury deadstock materials and leftover fabrics from garment manufacturing, incorporating real leather only when its source, tanning, and processing methods can be fully traced, as stated by the label.

Now available to shop in eight cities around the world, it seems this is only the beginning for the conscious brand.
