BIRKENSTOCK and ETRO Bring a New Luxury Twist to Two Iconic Silhouettes
BIRKENSTOCK and ETRO have joined forces for a new collaboration that helps bring together comfort, craftsmanship and unmistakable Italian flair.
First unveiled ETRO’s Fall/Winter 2026 runway show at Milan Fashion Week, the collection reimagines two of BIRKENSTOCK’s most recognisable silhouettes through ETRO’s bold design language. The partnership marks the meeting of two heritage houses, combining BIRKENSTOCK’s functional approach to footwear with ETRO’s rich artisanal identity.

At the heart of the collection are the Boston and Gizeh. The Boston clog, first introduced in 1976 and celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, receives a distinctly ETRO update, while the Gizeh sandal is reworked in premium suede and nappa leather.

ETRO’s signature details appear throughout the designs, from paisley motifs and rich textiles to embroidered accents, long fringe and custom Western-inspired buckles. Exclusive Pegasus-branded rivets add another recognisable house code, while metallic accents and polished hardware bring a contemporary finish.

Despite the more decorative treatment, BIRKENSTOCK’s signature construction remains at the centre of each style. The brand’s anatomically shaped cork-latex footbed is fully wrapped in tonal leather, while the outside combines BIRKENSTOCK’s signature tread with ETRO’s paisley motif, creating a final detail that brings both identities together.

Finished in a refined palette of taupe and chocolate, the collection feels rich, wearable and instantly recognisable.

The first chapter of BIRKENSTOCK by ETRO will launch globally on September 10th 2026 with further releases from the collaboration set to follow in the coming months.
