BOUCHERON Marks a New Chapter with Boutique Opening in Doha

Maison Boucheron has unveiled its new boutique in Doha at Lagoona Mall, one of the capital’s leading luxury destinations. Now the largest Boucheron boutique in the region, the opening marks an important milestone in the Maison’s continued growth in the Middle East and reinforces its longstanding regional presence, with two boutiques in Qatar and twelve across the wider region.

Celebrated with an intimate soft opening on 8 June, the new space also reflects Boucheron’s commitment to cultural dialogue through the inclusion of works by French artist Myriam Hubert and Qatari artist Shua’a Ali, creating a meaningful exchange between local and international creative voices.

At Boucheron, boutiques are conceived as more than retail spaces, they are designed to embody the Maison’s long-standing family spirit and create an atmosphere that feels welcoming and personal. This philosophy is reflected throughout the boutique’s design, from the use of round tables that encourage conversation between clients and advisors to carefully selected furnishings and artworks chosen with the same attention to detail as a private home.

Like Boucheron boutiques worldwide, the Lagoona Mall location draws inspiration from the Maison’s historic address at 26 Place Vendôme in Paris, where Frédéric Boucheron opened his boutique in 1893. The façade is defined by mirrored and green-tinted metal prisms that create shifting reflections inspired by diamond facets while referencing the Maison’s signature grosgrain motif and iconic green identity. Inside, black mouldings, metal accents, and balanced architectural symmetry establish the House’s distinctive visual language.

Nature unfolds as a recurring theme throughout the boutique, connecting sales areas and VIP spaces into one continuous experience. Visitors are welcomed by textured wallpaper inspired by straw marquetry framing a High Jewellery creation, while floral jacquards, silk wall coverings, and accents of pink, blue, yellow, and green create changing moods across each room. One area incorporates tones inspired by the Qatari flag, interpreted through contemporary textile treatments.

The first VIP lounge introduces a richly layered floral setting with Oriental-inspired influences and Art Deco details. Here, a site-specific artwork by Qatari contemporary artist Shua’a Ali transforms discarded marble fragments from the boutique’s construction into a sculptural exploration of memory, landscape, and Qatar’s evolving identity through contrasts of polished stone and weathered wood.

The second VIP area transports visitors into a reimagined Boucheron garden. A digital installation developed by the Maison features Wladimir, Boucheron’s emblematic cat, moving through a desert oasis landscape across changing moments of the day. Trellis motifs inspired by Arabesque patterns, floral details, and custom furnishings continue the narrative into an adjoining dining room created for hosting and private moments. The space is completed by an artwork from French artist Myriam Hubert, whose signature glass marquetry compositions create changing reflections and shifting perspectives throughout the room.

With its new Doha boutique, Boucheron continues to extend its vision of hospitality, craftsmanship, and cultural connection, bringing together architecture, art, and jewellery within a destination designed to feel both distinctive and deeply personal.
