Bvlgari and Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej reimagine the Octo Finissimo at Dubai Watch Week 2025
Paying homage to Emirati design, the timepiece has everyone talking
Bvlgari’s return to Dubai Watch Week 2025 arrived with the regional flair only Bvlgari knows how to pull off.
This year, the Roman maison is championing the UAE's creative pulse with its limited-edition Octo Finissimo designed in collaboration with celebrated Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej. Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the reveal is already causing a buzz.

The Octo Finissimo has long been admired as a modern icon. It's sleek architectural beauty has indeed shattered ten world records. But in Bin Lahej’s hands, the timepiece has transformed once again. His laser-engraved Arabic calligraphy wraps around the titanium case and bracelet, drawing from the powerful words of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum: “The future will be for those who can imagine, design, and implement it.”

Inside Bvlgari’s immersive booth, the watch takes centre stage amid metal accents, marble textures, and live demonstrations that pull visitors into its world of fine watchmaking.
Bold, ultra-thin, and engraved with meaning, the Mattar Bin Lahej x Octo Finissimo will soon become a cultural artefact.
