Cartier has unveiled their latest Into the Wild collection, reinforcing the house’s long-standing relationship with nature. Ever since the introduction of birds, insects, reptiles, and the three-dimensional sculptural panther in 1948, Cartier has continually reimagined fauna through fine jewellery. The latest collection is fierce, featuring tiger, parrot, carp, crocodile, and rhinoceros, the powerful approach drawn from the Panther Head Ring created in the 2000s.

As Director of Image, Style, and Heritage Pierre Rainero notes, each creature carries a symbolic force, translating personality and state of mind into precious metal and stone. These expressive animal portraits are crafted through the house’s heritage techniques. Designers, lapidaries, jewellers, and gem-setters collaborate to breathe tactile life into every piece. Artisans fuse platinum with yellow gold for the parrot or contrast hand-brushed and polished white gold to mimic the skin of the rhinoceros. Unique settings, such as fur settings or calibrated sapphires set on rails, evoke tiger fur, crocodile scales, and the fine edge of a carp's lip. 

Colour plays a central role in giving each creature its distinct personality. The parrot sparkles in vibrant red, green, coral, and tsavorite garnets, while the rhinoceros contrasts orange and opaline against spessartite garnet and smoky quartz. The crocodile is set in classic white diamonds, emeralds, and onyx spikes. Meanwhile, cool shades of blue, ranging from sapphires and aquamarines to dumortierite quartz, give fresh character to both the tiger and the carp. 

The highlight of the collection includes fully articulated sensory necklaces and bracelets, combining rhythm and fluidity with abstract geometric bodies. The crocodile bracelet and necklace feature a flexible diamond body set in wave-like inverted patterns, bordered by chrysoprase and rubellites. The tiger piece uses a hidden mouth-clasp system to preserve uninterrupted lines, pairing dumortierite quartz and sapphires over a gold structure made of moveable links. 

The emblematic Panthère tête-à-tête bracelet features an immaculate white gold finish covered in geometric diamonds and galuchat-effect paving. The collection extends into fine watchmaking with a medallion-shaped Panthère Jewellery Watch created at the Maison des Métiers d’Art in La Chaux-de-Fonds, with onyx, tsavorite garnets, lacquer, and diamond pave. Brooches include rhodium-finish crocodile and yellow gold tiger pins, alongside a Karung leather Panthère Double mini bag featuring a gold-finished panther clasp. Through remarkable craft and daring design, Cartier once again transforms the wild spirit of nature into timeless high jewellery.
