The singer-songwriter shares how Arabic lyrics and melodies gave her music new textures
Clarita de Quiroz is a Dubai-based singer whose voice bridges cultures...

The Scottish singer-songwriter, pianist, and composer, Clarita de Quiroz was born in Abu Dhabi and raised in Scotland, where her musical journey began at just four years old. By 15, she had already composed her first concerto and was named North East Scotland’s Young Musician of the Year. Since then, she has gone on to release chart-topping albums in the UAE, blending genres and cultures through her artistry.
In 2025, Clarita signed with Believe Music to release an Arabic-influenced album, a project that deepens her mission of connecting people through sound. Speaking exclusively to MADAME Arabia, she shared:
“I’ve realised that music grows when you give it a new language. Arabic lyrics and melodies have opened doors to emotions that English could never fully hold. They’ve given my art new colours, new textures, and a deeper honesty. By staying true to the music itself, I’ve found a way to expand not just my sound, but the way I express feeling.”

She added, “When I go through a lot emotionally, whether it be heartbreak, heartache, love or whatever, I am very private about it, and I don’t talk to people about it. However, I do talk to my piano about it, and that’s where all my gossip goes, into my songs, and into my music.”
