Dior AW 26–27: Fashion as a Walk Through the Tuileries
For the Autumn/Winter 2026–2027 show, Jonathan Anderson imagined fashion as a simple but elegant ritual: a walk through the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris. The historic garden, once a place where Parisians dressed up just to stroll and be seen, became the starting point for the collection and its atmosphere.

To bring this idea to life, the Dior show space was designed like a dreamlike version of the park itself. Inside a greenhouse set beside the famous fountain, artificial water lilies floated on the surface, creating a surreal contrast between nature and artifice. It felt poetic and slightly theatrical, as if the audience had stepped into a carefully staged promenade.

The clothes reflected this same feeling of effortless elegance. Anderson played with silhouettes that felt both refined and relaxed, perfect for moving through the city. Sculptural skirts appeared alongside peplum jackets and beautifully tailored coats, while delicate textures such as lace, silk and tweed gave the looks depth. Florals were present but in a subtle way. Shapes and volumes suggested flowers rather than simply printing them on fabric.

There was also a sense of character in the styling. Each model looked like someone you might pass on a Parisian path, a little dramatic, a little mysterious, always stylish.
But the real standouts were the accessories. Anderson treated them almost like small works of art. Shoes featured sculptural heels inspired by water lilies, while earrings and compact clutches echoed organic shapes found in the garden. Even everyday items were elevated. Dior’s iconic tote bags appeared printed with literary references, blending fashion with culture in a playful way.

The result was a collection that felt both imaginative and wearable. Like a walk through the Tuileries itself, it celebrated those fleeting moments where style and atmosphere quietly come together.
