Dubai Fashion Week Day 5: A Fitting Finale

Dubai Fashion Week officially wrapped yesterday, closing out an incredible celebration of regional and international fashion. Here’s a look back at the finale, as we relive the runway shows that brought the week-long event to an unforgettable close.

    Christopher Italy

Christopher Italy opened the evening runway on Day 5 of Dubai Fashion Week. Staged more like a piece of theatre than a runway walk, the show presented a lively, playful collection that offered a European contrast to the region’s emerging and established talent.

    Josephine

Soft, dreamy and romantic, Joséphine’s show gave the final evening of Dubai Fashion Week, a gentler shift. The Vietnam-based label showcased a collection where dresses were designed to be worn for special occasions. The label’s signature silhouettes, delicate hand embellishments and meticulous detailing were seen across pieces.

    Tarun Tahiliani

Tarun Tahiliani closed the final night with The Many Moods of TT, a presentation of about 70 looks spanning occasion wear, bridal, couture, menswear and OTT that celebrated three decades of the house’s blend of Indian craftsmanship and modern, understated luxury. The show ended with a subtle homage to Arab women and Islamic aesthetics through long coats, kaftans and styled headwear, and also marked the opening of the label’s first Dubai store in Jumeirah.
