GucciCore, Gucci delivered a collection deeply rooted in New York while redefining the codes of the modern Gucci wardrobe, pragmatic yet extravagant, nostalgic yet unmistakably contemporary

Gucci unveiled GucciCore, its Cruise 2027 collection staged in the heart of Times Square, a symbolic return to the city that first welcomed the House outside of Italy in 1953. Set against the glow of New York’s digital billboards and cinematic energy, the show transformed one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks into a living expression of Gucci’s evolving identity.

Designed as a tribute to New York’s layered fashion culture, GucciCore explored the intersection of luxury, street style, glamour, and everyday dressing. The collection moved through archetypes of the city itself: sharp pinstriped tailoring inspired by Wall Street, effortless shearling coats reminiscent of uptown elegance, slouchy denim and soft tailoring nodding to downtown youth culture, and richly embellished eveningwear that blurred the line between practicality and fantasy.

The show also marked a nostalgic moment for the fashion industry, bringing together iconic names and legendary figures, including supermodel Cindy Crawford, whose presence reinforced the collection’s dialogue between heritage and modernity. The casting reflected GucciCore’s broader vision, a celebration of personalities, generations, and styles that coexist within the rhythm of New York City.

Accessories continued the narrative through exaggerated Horsebit heels, jewel-toned handbags, oversized sling totes, and watch-inspired clutches, while the collection’s invitation referenced the legendary Gucci Galleria of the 1980s, an exclusive hidden salon once located above the Fifth Avenue flagship.

More than a fashion show, GucciCore presented Gucci as a complete lifestyle universe. Prior to the runway, Times Square screens displayed fictional and archival-inspired campaigns for imagined Gucci ventures ranging from Gucci Gym and Gucci Viaggio to Gucci Life and Palazzo Gucci, blurring the boundaries between fashion, fantasy, and cultural identity.
