Hermès Plein Air Foundation Brings Skincare and Makeup into Perfect Harmony
Hermès Beauty expands its Plein Air collection with the launch of its first complexion foundation, introducing a luminous matte formula that seamlessly combines skincare expertise with makeup artistry. Designed by Gregoris Pyrpylis, Creative Director of Hermès Beauty, the new foundation reflects the house's vision of effortless beauty, enhancing natural features while allowing individuality to shine through.

Created as an invisible veil for the skin, the foundation delivers medium coverage with a lightweight, second-skin feel. Its luminous matte finish evens the complexion, blurs imperfections, and restores natural radiance without masking the skin's character. The result is a refined, fresh-looking complexion that feels as comfortable as it appears sophisticated.

The formula is powered by skincare-focused ingredients, featuring niacinamide to improve skin quality, pure hyaluronic acid for lasting hydration, and white mulberry extract to help protect against oxidative stress. Made with a high percentage of naturally derived ingredients, the foundation offers immediate cosmetic benefits while supporting the skin over time.

Recognising the diversity of modern beauty, Hermès has developed 34 shades across five colour intensities, each available in cool, neutral, and warm undertones. Carefully calibrated to blend seamlessly with different complexions, the range celebrates natural
skin tones while delivering an even, radiant finish.

As with every Hermès creation, design plays a central role. Conceived by Pierre Hardy, the foundation bottle combines glass and metal in a striking geometric form. Frosted and transparent elements create a subtle interplay of light, while the engraved black metal pump and signature Hermès ex-libris reflect the house's commitment to craftsmanship and detail.

Complementing the foundation is the Perfecting Primer, a lightweight formula designed to smooth, hydrate, and prepare the skin for makeup application. Suitable for all skin types, it enhances radiance, minimises the appearance of pores, and helps prolong makeup wear throughout the day, creating the ideal canvas for a flawless complexion.

To complete the ritual, Hermès introduces a collection of expertly crafted complexion tools. At its centre is Le Perfecteur Brush, made in France by a heritage brushmaker renowned for its expertise since 1793. Featuring a lacquered wooden handle and high- quality synthetic fibres, the brush is designed to distribute product evenly without absorbing excess formula, ensuring a seamless and natural-looking finish.

Joining the brush are The Palette and Applicator, a duo of refined accessories that reinvent the beauty ritual in true Hermès style. Designed to facilitate hygienic, precise application, the brushed gold-tone metal palette is intended for use with the Luminous Matte Skincare Foundation and Perfecting Primer, allowing users to mix formulas or dispense the ideal amount of product before application. Inspired by an artist's palette, one end features the iconic Hermès ex-libris set within an ergonomic indentation for effortless handling.

Accompanying the palette is a wooden applicator with a flexible tip, specially designed for mixing, collecting, and applying complexion products with precision. Together, these elegant tools combine practicality and craftsmanship, elevating everyday makeup application into a luxurious ritual.
With the launch of the Plein Air Foundation collection, Hermès Beauty continues to redefine luxury cosmetics through a thoughtful balance of innovation, skincare performance, and timeless elegance. The result is a complexion range designed not to
transform the wearer, but to reveal the skin at its most luminous and authentic.
