From dramatic gowns to eclectic silhouettes, the second day of DFW delivered a sight to behold

Building on the success of its inaugural evening one day prior, the second day of Dubai Fashion Week Autumn-winter 2026-2027 was defined by a strong statement of intent, showcasing a mix of emerging and internationally acclaimed designers in a series of shows that highlighted the city’s growing influence on the global fashion calendar.

The evening brought together fashion insiders and buyers alike, reinforcing Dubai’s growing role as a fashion hub connecting regional talent with global markets.

Here are the highlights from Day two.

    THAT Concept Store

The homegrown multi-brand concept retailer unveiled its Autumn/Winter 2026 vision with a runway that leaned into bold colour, embellished skirts and dresses, and softly feminine silhouettes layered with playful accessories. Mushroom-shaped purses and woven handbags added moments of whimsy, offering a fresh take on contemporary fashion. The edit brought together a mix of international and regional brands, spotlighting both established names and emerging designers. Building on the brand’s Spring/Summer 2026, the collection emphasised a sense of non-conformist luxury, one that speaks to Dubai’s fashion-forward crowd.

    John Richmond

Among the most anticipated shows of the day was the debut of British brand John Richmond. Drawing on the label’s archives, the collection revisited past signatures with a renewed rebellious energy. Lace gowns appeared in a gothic-leaning yet refined look, showcasing a nonchalant kind of glamour. Sequined embroidery emerged as a recurring theme, adding a sense of regional flair, while details such as an embellished Union Jack gown were fun little moments that tied the collection to the house’s roots.

The brand, which has long found itself at the intersection of fashion, music and contemporary culture, has built its reputation around an identity of self-expression where irreverence and luxury can co-exist. For its Dubai Fashion Week debut, that sensibility came through clearly, highlighted by the brand’s legacy of dressing international icons including Madonna, David Bowie, Mick Jagger and Lady Gaga.

    Autonomie

Dubai-based womenswear brand Autonomie presented a showroom alongside the runway shows, featuring romantic designs rooted in femininity. The presentation showcased delicate dresses blending silk and velvet, while others were defined by soft, fluid draping. Subtle cultural influences recurred throughout the collection, while wearability and ease remained central to the designs.
