    Inside Schiaparelli’s Spring/Summer 27 Collection, “Going Clear”

Schiaparelli’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection, titled “Going Clear", was about stripping away the noise and returning to the essence of the house. At Paris Fashion Week, Daniel Roseberry presented a collection that felt sculptural yet easy to wear.

Rather than creating clothes that exist only for one dramatic runway moment, the collection focused on pieces that could become part of a woman’s personal wardrobe. Bold, artistic, and slightly surreal, the unmistakable Schiaparelli mood was approached with a softer, more practical lens.

The classic Schiaparelli hourglass shape appeared in a more relaxed way. Instead of harsh tailoring and strict straight lines, Roseberry used asymmetry, soft ruffles, lettuce hems and curved cut-outs. The clothes moved around the body rather than restricting it.

The colour palette was deliberately limited. Black, bone and butter formed the foundation of the collection, giving the clothes a strong, clear visual identity. A few brighter colours appeared as accents, including kingfisher blue, moss green and salmon pink.

The accessories continued the idea of surrealism made wearable. One bag featured a brass mouth that doubled as a handle, an unmistakable Schiaparelli detail. Shoes were designed to feel more everyday while still carrying the house’s eccentric spirit. Jewellery added another playful layer with earrings, cuffs and brooches coming in the form of “spirit animals", including horses, dolphins, pigs, dogs, cats and spiders.

With “Going Clear”, Schiaparelli presented a collection that was confident and distinctive. The pieces are designed not merely to be looked at but to be lived in.
