Students at Istituto Marangoni Dubai create videos exploring the essence of the MADAME Arabia woman

Watch the finished projects which shine a light on feminine empowerment
MADAME Arabia recently partnered with the Istituto Marangoni to help nurture female creatives of the next generation. Students were assigned themes for videos and tasked with making beautiful content that reflects the values of a MADAME Arabia reader: an empowered and confident woman who knows what she wants.
Editor-in-Chief Jessica Michault guided the students and shared her expert advice. You can see the finished projects below…
Echoes of Nature
Anishka
Echoes of Nature is an interplay between the rhythms of modern life and the quiet comfort of nature. Through a sensory-driven narrative, the film conveys sustainability as more than an environmental concept, not just in consumption but in mindset. The colours and visuals represent balance and mindfulness. The film encourages viewers to find moments of appreciation within the simplicity of daily life.

Glimmers
Hanna
Glimmers captures the quiet beauty of everyday moments—the fleeting sparks of joy that shape our mornings and set the tone for the day. From the golden glow of sunlight through sheer curtains to the first sip of coffee, the softness of a favourite pyjama, or the gentle rhythm of a skincare routine, these small rituals ground us in presence. This concept highlights the elegance of the unnoticed, proving that true luxury lies in the simple. It reflects the MADAME Arabia women who move with quiet confidence, take care of themselves, pay attention to the details, and find joy in small moments.

Liquid Identities
Kareena
The film explores topics related to Liquid Identities, with a deep dive into the world of hyper-localism. It follows the idea of a new life chapter starting, which evokes emotions of letting go, nostalgia, connection and culture. The culture represented through the fashion sees a transition from rigidity to acceptance. The visuals highlight a clean, geometric and cold atmosphere synchronised with the emotions felt when one has to move from home. The use of colours and layers in the fashion hints at the blending of cultures, reflecting the MADAME Arabia woman - modern, determined and attuned to the idea of simplicity. The film crescendos into a moment of realisation to the truth that she holds everything within her and moving on does not equate to leaving something behind, it is growth and a mindful way of living.

Girl Talk
Serena
Girl Talk is a celebration of femininity, self-expression, and the unfiltered energy of modern conversations among women. The film explores the intimate and dynamic exchanges that happen within female friendships, using fashion as a visual language to reflect emotions, individuality, and shared experiences. Inspired by the evolving representation of women in media, the narrative weaves together candid moments, laughter, and empowerment, creating a cinematic dialogue through styling, movement, and aesthetic choices.

Joyful Expression
Maria
Joyful Expression is a radiant affirmation of life, capturing the beauty of each moment. It reflects a deep understanding that the present is the only reality we truly possess, urging us to fully embrace the now. Each smile and burst of laughter serve as a celebration of life’s temporary nature, a reminder to live authentically without waiting for perfection. A woman who lives in the moment, with passion and gratitude, consciously choosing joy over fear. Acknowledging that we never know when our time may come to an end. In doing so, she transforms every fleeting second into a cherished memory, creating a legacy of vibrant, unbridled living.

Goth to Dream to Dystopia
Shayness
Goth to Dream to Dystopia explores the evolution from dark, gothic aesthetics to ethereal, dreamlike elements, culminating in dystopian, futuristic influences. It blends Victorian and punk goth styles with surreal, soft textures before transitioning into apocalyptic, cyber-inspired looks.
The visual highlights through blurriness, darkness and curiosity a powerful woman that is strong and fearless. For a woman that knows where she goes.
