For SS26, Marella continues its celebrated “Selected By” series with a capsule collection designed in collaboration with Middle Eastern talent Deema Al Asadi. The partnership is more than a creative endeavor it is a fusion of Italian sophistication and the elegance, modesty, and grace inherent in Deema’s cultural identity. Speaking about the collaboration, Deema shared, “Working with the Marella team was truly a pleasure. From the very first calls, I felt their warmth, hospitality, and genuine enthusiasm. Every meeting left me excited , it never felt transactional, but personal. When we finally met in Dubai and began selecting the fabrics, refining the colors, and focusing on the smallest details, it felt like a real creative partnership.”

The SS26 capsule collection draws inspiration from nature and light, capturing the way both are reflected and perceived. The color palette tells a story: saffron yellow evokes the golden nuances of moonlight, oregano green reflects the vibrancy of nature, coral pink adds delicate yet distinctive femininity, and talc white symbolizes timeless elegance.

Fluid viscose fabrics, floral jacquard prints, lace details, and golden reflections complete the aesthetic, giving the garments a luminous quality that enhances every detail. Reflecting on the campaign, Deema recalled, “The most exciting moment for me was seeing the collection come to life. Arriving at the villa in Milan for the shoot and seeing the space they chose was honestly a dream. It perfectly reflected the mood and elegance of the collection. Standing there, watching everything we had worked on come together, felt surreal and deeply emotional.”

Deema’s local culture played a central role in shaping her vision. “My culture values elegance, modesty, and grace values that align seamlessly with Marella’s feminine Italian DNA. This collaboration allowed me to translate those values into designs that feel authentic to Arab women: respectful, feminine, and beautifully balanced,” she explained.

The collection merges Italian timelessness with her personal sense of femininity. “Through breathable fabrics, flowing silhouettes, and a carefully curated color palette, we sought to embody effortless beauty. Femininity during Ramadan, for instance, is subtle, composed, and powerful.
