Yulia Fedorishina on why she created a unique dining concept that caters to the modern family
When it opened its doors in Moscow in 2011, Ribambelle, redefined the idea of family dining. Founded by entrepreneur Yulia Fedorishina and conceived as a lifestyle space where fine cuisine, imaginative play, and community converged, it became a family destination that catered to everyone, from parents looking for fine cuisine to kids looking for creative playtime.
In 2024, Ribambelle opened its first international branch in Dubai. The city’s cosmopolitan families made it a natural step for expansion. Founder Yulia Fedorishina told MADAME Arabia, “Ribambelle is more than a restaurant, it is a world for families. My vision has always been to create a modern village where parents feel truly cared for and children are free to explore and be inspired.”

The idea grew directly from Yulia’s own life. “When my first child was born, I realised two things. I could no longer continue my corporate career in the same way, and there were very few places where parents could enjoy refinement while children felt truly welcome. I first pursued an MBA at INSEAD to give myself the freedom to reflect and prepare for change. Then I decided to build a space that unites the dignity of parenthood with the joy of childhood.”
For Dubai’s families, Ribambelle is designed to offer that rare balance. “All families want the same balance,” says Yulia. “Children are fully engaged and safe, while adults can relax, enjoy excellent food, and connect socially. Dubai’s families are cosmopolitan and discerning. They value experiences that combine hospitality with meaning. They are not looking only for entertainment, but for memories that last.”

The experience has been carefully created with both adults and children in mind, with exciting activities for children each day, as well as a luxuriously decorated play area. “Parents will find exceptional cuisine, high service standards, and an atmosphere that respects their time. Children will find creativity, play and wonder. Together, families rediscover the feeling of belonging to a caring village, something modern life too often takes away.”

Yulia had a successful corporate career before embarking on this entrepreneurial journey, but she describes motherhood as the turning point that reshaped her vision. “I came to see business not only as numbers and strategy, but as a way to serve people and society. Entrepreneurs have a powerful impact on the lives of their employees, and this makes the journey deeply purposeful. Today, I am both a founder and a mother of three, two roles that constantly challenge and enrich each other.”
Looking ahead, she hopes to see Ribambelle expand further across the world while also contributing to a broader change in how society values care and leadership. “I dream of Ribambelle becoming a global symbol of family hospitality. Beyond business, I want to change how society values motherhood and create a legacy that normalises caring, human-centred leadership.”
