Myrna Haddad founder of Pinky Blush Beauty Lounge in Qatar on creating her dream life and inspiring women in the process

The author, beauty entrepreneur and influencer shares her story

Myrna Haddad, founder of Pinky Blush Beauty Lounge in Qatar, is a shining example of resilience, creativity, and determination. Her career began at a young age.

“My journey started when I was 14 years old. I was a student and working at the same time, like any other girl pursuing her dreams,” Haddad recalls. Her early years were a juggling act between studying and part-time jobs, often as a waitress. Even then, her talent for writing shone through as she helped her friends with essays and projects.

After completing a double major in Business Management and Public Relations, Haddad took an opportunity to work in Qatar. “I said to myself, why not? I was alone, I had dreams to pursue, and this was the first step,” she shares. Her career flourished in marketing and advertising, but the COVID-19 pandemic brought unexpected challenges. “I went into a deep depression, questioning everything,” she admits. Yet, in this dark period, she turned to writing as a form of therapy and self-expression.

Myrna’s first book, After Midnight, written in Arabic literature, resonated deeply with readers in the Middle East. The narrative tackled sensitive subjects like societal taboos, mental health struggles, and the unspoken challenges faced by women. “Why can’t we speak to our parents? Why are we afraid to say we’re just girls pursuing our dreams?” she asks, reflecting on the themes of her book.

Her literary success fueled her desire to create a space that embodies her passion for luxury, creativity, and community. Enter Pinky Blush Beauty Lounge. Inspired by Paris, a city she fell in love with, Haddad envisioned a beauty lounge that combined vintage charm with modern indulgence. “When you enter, it’s like stepping into an old, luxurious, vintage house,” she describes. From facials inspired by Hollywood celebrities to detox snacks and a walk-in closet featuring rare, vintage fashion pieces, the space is totally unique.

Haddad’s entrepreneurial spirit doesn’t end there. She is currently developing a skincare line crafted in collaboration with Italian artisans. Focused on brightening and addressing pigmentation issues common in the Middle East, the line has been a labour of love. “It’s bringing together the Middle East, Spain, Italy, New York City, and Serbia. Each product tells a story,” she explains.

Throughout her journey, Haddad has been a staunch advocate for women’s empowerment. “I always try to support women, whether through hiring or mentoring. I want young ladies to know they can achieve their dreams,” she says. Her social media presence emphasises authenticity and relatability, inspiring her followers to embrace their imperfections and strive for their goals.

Haddad’s greatest achievement, she says, is her freedom to create the life she envisioned. “I had nothing. I worked on myself, believed in myself, and here I am,” she reflects. From humble beginnings to Paris Fashion Week, her story is a beacon of hope and inspiration for women everywhere.
