The Spring/Summer 2027 season at New York Fashion Week has been defined by contrasts, the play between masculine and feminine, and romantic expression. The runway explored the evolving feminine identity through the interplay of colours and patterns, architectural making and grounded tailoring.

Michael Kors

Rooted in modern art and contemporary silhouettes, Michael Kors’ Spring/Summer 2027 collection was defined by graphic patterns, contrasting colours, and asymmetrical visual interests as opposed to evening glamour. Minimalist bases were accented by bright sunflower yellow, red, and green colours. The collection was complete with staple totes, clutches, long and layered pendant necklaces. 

Altuzarra

Altuzarra’s Spring 2027 collection was a poetic journey that blurred the lines between the masculine and the feminine. Presented as a modern romantic expression, the collection featured fluid tailoring, rich colours, leather jackets, and jersey dresses. Drop-waist dresses, chunky statement belts, open necklines, and flowy and ruffled skirts brought a relaxed yet polished edge to the looks.  

Prabal Gurung

Dedicating the show and the collection to the people and resilience of Nepal, Prabal Gurung’s Spring 2027 collection “Ray of Light” is a strong statement against confinement, with each silhouette favouring ease of movement. The collection combines the energy of a Brooklyn party with quintessential Nepali grace. The runway was a masterclass on cross-cultural inspirations, with marigold and jasmine embroidery carrying the New York rave energy. 

Khaite

Celebrating the brand’s 10th anniversary, Khaite’s NYFW runway placed craftsmanship at the heart of each piece. Voluminous skirts, sheer layering, exaggerated shoulders, and flowy silhouettes defined the collection’s dark romantic theme, while spotlighting vintage corsetry, structural crinolines, and ruffle layers. The brand’s signature cool girl aesthetic comes through the collection, with unmissable Victorian inspirations. 

Calvin Klein

Calvin Klein’s Spring 2027 collection is defined by its return to 90s sportswear and minimalist codes. Refined fabric, moderate textures, and sleek tailoring were seen across the collection. The colour palette remained largely black and white, accented by hints of red, blue, and butter yellow. Highlights of the collection include pencil skirts, statement trenches, flowy silk slip dresses, and silk T-shirts. Creative Director Veronica Leoni presents more elevated and considered versions of Calvin Klein staples through the collection.
