From skincare-filled countdowns to miniature fragrance wardrobes, this year’s most luxurious advent calendars make the wait for December almost as exciting as the celebrations themselves.

There was once a time when opening an advent calendar meant finding a square of chocolate behind each door. Beauty has changed that considerably. For 2026, the choice is particularly impressive. From Harrods and Selfridges bringing together some of the biggest names in beauty to Acqua di Parma recreating an Italian hotel in miniature, these are the luxury advent calendars worth knowing this year.

The Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar 2026

Harrods has brought its Beauty Halls home for Christmas with a calendar filled with 34 products across skincare, makeup, haircare and fragrance. The selection includes names such as Augustinus Bader, Sisley Paris, La Prairie, Gucci Beauty and Valmont, with plenty of full-sized products appearing alongside newer discoveries. It is a particularly good choice for anyone who prefers a little of everything rather than committing to one beauty category or brand.

Augustinus Bader The 12 Days of Bader

Augustinus Bader takes a shorter approach to the countdown, with 12 days dedicated entirely to the brand's skincare. This year's edit moves through a full routine, beginning with The Cream Cleansing Gel and The Essence before introducing treatments including The Vitamin C Serum and The Elixir. The Rich Cream, The Face Oil, SPF 50, body care and hand care are included too, making this less about collecting miniatures and more about discovering the Augustinus Bader routine from beginning to end.

Selfridges Beauty Advent Calendar 2026

There is plenty to discover behind Selfridges' bright yellow doors. The 2026 calendar contains 40 products, 33 of which are full-sized, spanning makeup, fragrance, skincare, hair and body care. Gucci Beauty, Augustinus Bader, Jo Malone London, Dr. Barbara Sturm, Marc Jacobs Beauty and Charlotte Tilbury all make appearances.

Jo Malone London Christmas Kist Advent Calendar

Jo Malone London has moved beyond the traditional advent box with a festive trunk designed to be opened throughout December. Inside are 25 surprises ranging from familiar colognes and seasonal scents to miniature candles, bath and body products and limited-edition creations. Christmas Day has been given its own moment too, with a 30ml bottle of the new Tangerine & Honey Cologne waiting behind the final door.

Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar 2026

Liberty's annual calendar returns with 29 Beauty Hall finds, including 21 full-sized products. The 2026 selection moves easily between skincare, fragrance, makeup, hair and body care, with Sisley Paris, Augustinus Bader, Sunday Riley, Violette_FR and Matiere Premiere among the names inside. There is also a Liberty print drawstring bag in the Festive Plume design, while the calendar itself features illustrations by Clym Evernden. 

Acqua di Parma Holiday Collection Advent Calendar

Acqua di Parma may have created one of the most beautiful calendars of the season. For Holiday 2026, the house imagines its advent calendar as Grand Hotel Sprezzatura, a fictional hotel in the Italian Dolomites. Illustrated by Agostino Iacurci, its windows reveal 24 fragrances, hand and body products, soaps and candles, moving through signatures including Colonia, Arancia di Capri, Zafferano and Oud. The final surprise is a larger bottle of Colonia Il Profumo, complete with its own pouch.

Penhaligon's Advent Calendar

Penhaligon's takes the idea of travelling home for Christmas quite literally. Inspired by vintage luggage and the golden age of train travel, its 2026 calendar is designed around stacked travel trunks and contains 24 of the British fragrance house's creations. Fragrances sit alongside body care and scented candles, turning each drawer into another stop on the journey towards Christmas.

YSL Beauty Holiday Advent Calendar 2026

YSL Beauty brings a little of the runway to the countdown. The 2026 calendar arrives in an ultra-glossy burgundy case finished with an oversized Cassandre logo, giving it the appearance of a jewellery box before it has even been opened. Inside, five full-sized products include the Couture Clutch palette, Loveshine lip products and Libre Perfumed Body Balm. Miniatures then move between YSL's fragrance, makeup and skincare worlds, with Black Opium, Libre, MYSLF, Or Rouge and Pure Shots all represented. Even the accessories get their own place, with a mirror and kabuki brush completing the edit. 

Advent calendars may have become increasingly elaborate, but the best ones still keep the simple pleasure that made them appealing in the first place. There is something about not knowing exactly which product will be opened next that makes even a familiar fragrance or favourite cream feel a little more special in December.
