Three exhibitions in the UAE to see this summer

Where to get your art fix this season

This summer, the UAE’s cultural calendar is brimming with bold artistic dialogues.

From Korean media art in Abu Dhabi to conceptual reflections on memory in Dubai, and female-led exhibitions exploring power and abstraction, these three standout shows invite viewers to engage with layered narratives and shifting forms.

Layered Medium: We Are in Open Circuits

Presented by ADMAF and the Seoul Museum of Art, Layered Medium: We Are in Open Circuits showcases six decades of Korean contemporary art at Manarat Al Saadiyat. Featuring 48 works by 29 artists, the exhibition explores media as a tool of communication and identity. Spanning six decades, some of the works created by Korean artists are being shown in the UAE for the first time.
    Until June 30.

    From Fragments to Coherence

Sevil Dolmacı Dubai is showcasing a group exhibition titled From Fragments to Coherence, curated by İpek Ulusoy Akgül. Featuring 13 artists, it explores how fragments, whether material, conceptual, or geographic, are transformed into new meanings. Through diverse media, it reflects on memory and the dynamic relationship between part and whole in modern art.
    Until July 31.

I Construct What I Want to Disrupt: Misaligned Enjambements

The Arts Club Dubai has two Stairway Exhibitions running this summer, each spotlighting female artists. Sarah Al Mehairi‘s large-scale works in I Construct What I Want to Disrupt: Misaligned Enjambements explore spatial dialogue and abstraction, while Mandy El-Sayegh’s Burning Square series interrogates power through layered media. The exhibitions are open to non-members by appointment via rsvp@theartsclub.ae.
    Until October.
