From couture debuts to established Arab designers, here’s what you won’t want to miss from the upcoming Paris Haute Couture Week

Paris Haute Couture Week Spring Summer 2026 takes place from 26–29 January, unfolding across four tightly curated days of shows and presentations. This season carries weight, marked by major debuts, emotional returns, and a growing shift toward broader global representation within couture.

The week opens with Schiaparelli under the creative direction of Daniel Roseberry. His opening show has become one of the most anticipated moments of the couture calendar, known for its theatrical craftsmanship and celebrity-filled front row. As ever, Roseberry is expected to set the visual and conceptual tone for the days ahead.

One of the most closely watched moments of the week will be Jonathan Anderson presenting his first-ever haute couture collection for Dior. While Anderson is no stranger to design, this marks both his debut couture collection for the house and his first time working within couture at any label. Expectations are high, with industry insiders keen to see how his narrative-driven approach translates into Dior’s couture codes.

Another major debut comes from Matthieu Blazy, who will present his third runway collection for Chanel, but again, his debut in haute couture. Taking place on Tuesday morning, the show represents his first couture offering for the house, adding further anticipation around how his modern sensibility will be expressed within Chanel’s DNA.

This season also marks a pivotal moment for Armani Privé, which will present its first collection without the late Giorgio Armani's direct involvement in its design. Creative direction for Armani Privé and the wider house is now guided by his long-standing collaborators, including his niece, Silvana Armani. The collection is expected to remain faithful to the house’s refined elegance while quietly signalling a new chapter.

Elsewhere on the schedule, Alessandro Michele returns to couture for the first time in a year with his latest collection for Valentino. The show carries emotional weight following the recent passing of the brand’s founder, Valentino Garavani. Attention will naturally turn to how Michele acknowledges the founder’s legacy, and whether Valentino’s iconic red will make a symbolic appearance.

Regional designers continue to hold a strong presence on the couture calendar. Georges Hobeika shows on 26 January, followed by Elie Saab on 28 January. Ashi Studio and Rami Al Ali will both present their Spring/Summer 2026 collections on 29 January, reinforcing the Middle East’s continued influence in haute couture.

What sets this edition of Paris Haute Couture Week apart is the growing inclusion of designers beyond traditional couture capitals. Among them is Phan Huy, who is set to become the youngest designer ever to present his own brand during Haute Couture Week. Based in Vietnam, his work is known for reinterpreting Vietnamese heritage through artisanal techniques and modern couture innovation, marking an important moment for regional representation on the global stage.

Also returning to the spotlight is Celia Kritharioti, whose couture is defined by intricate craftsmanship and a romantic yet powerful femininity. The house counts a long list of international clients, including Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift, and more.

Paris Couture Week SS26 takes place from January 26-29.
