YLA Unveils a New Spring Edition Inspired by Light and Renewal

Following the debut of its Audace Collection and its evolving seasonal expressions, UAE-based furniture atelier YLA, founded by Benoît Rondard, unveils its Spring Edition, developed in collaboration with French designer Rémi Damilleville. This latest chapter continues YLA’s exploration into material and emotional design, rooted in the rhythms of nature. It reflects a subtle shift in season,
where light returns, forms soften, and a new palette begins to emerge.

“Each season brings a shift in energy,” says Benoît Rondard, Founder of YLA. “Spring is a moment of clarity, where everything feels lighter, more open. This edition captures that sense of beginning, translated through colour, material and form.”

Building on the sculptural language of YLA, the Spring Edition introduces a refined selection of chairs, tables, shelving and bookcases, reinterpreted through softened tonal expressions. The pieces maintain YLA’s signature balance between structure and restraint, where metal is shaped into forms that feel precise, yet quietly present within a space.

    A Palette of Renewal

At the heart of the Spring Edition are two new colourways, Blossom Purple and Water Green, marking a gentle evolution in YLA’s chromatic language.

Blossom Purple captures the fleeting freshness of early-blooming petals, soft, luminous, and lightly held in morning light. It evokes the quiet joy of beginnings, bringing a sense of calm, serenity and renewal into a space.

Water Green reflects the purity of mountain streams, clear, revitalizing, and ever-flowing. Emerging from the transformation of snow into water, tracing its path through stone and moss. A colour of clarity and calm, it speaks of balance, freshness, and the quiet strength of Nature’s cycles.

Together, these tones celebrate renewal, the awakening of nature after its long repose, when light returns and colour begins to bloom once more, never overpowering, but quietly present. Nature Sets the Tone In the Spring Edition, nature is not referenced, but translated.

Spring is expressed through shape and surface, in softened geometries, refined proportions, and a materiality that holds light with subtlety. Metal, often perceived as fixed, is reimagined as something more fluid, capable of reflecting both colour and stillness.

“Metal is never static,” adds Rémi Damilleville. “It adapts, it reflects, it evolves. With this edition, we wanted to explore how it can hold a sense of lightness, while retaining its strength.”

A shift in palette, almost felt rather than seen. The beginning of something new.

    Design as a Living Language

Each piece continues YLA’s commitment to craftsmanship, with every element hand-finished in Dubai. Brushed textures, seamless joins and matte surfaces create a quiet interplay of depth and reflection, an aesthetic that feels both minimal and considered.

The Spring Edition reinforces YLA’s belief in design as an emotional language, one that shapes atmosphere as much as function.

“Design should feel intuitive,” Rondard adds. “It should bring a sense of clarity, something that lives with you, rather than defining the space around it.”

Proudly designed and crafted in Dubai, YLA reflects the city’s evolving creative identity, where innovation meets craftsmanship, and material becomes a medium for expression. With the Spring Edition, YLA introduces a new tonal direction: lighter, more diffused, and attuned to the rhythm of change.
